Religions, Ethics, and Global Business

Baha'is recognise the following prophets: Abraham, Sri Krishna, Zoroaster, Moses, Buddha, Christ, and Muhammad; they were the messengers of the same God, of the same religion. For them, the prophet Bahaullah was the last one and creator of the Baha’i Faith.

The main message of Bahá'u'lláh is the oneness of God, humanity, and religions.

Baha'i

Bahaullah, the Prophet of the Civilization, was the founder of the Baha’i Faith. He was born in 1817 in Persia (Iran). Like Buddha or Mahavira was born into a wealthy family, but resigned to it all.

Baha'i religion shares common ethical principles with other faiths: not to kill, not to steal, not to lie, not slander, to avoid prejudices, the misuse of sexual practices, not to alcohol and drugs consumption.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Baha'i seek to create a single universal religion and a global society, unifying the existing ones. From the Harmony of Religions (Sri Ramakrishna) and the validity of each of them; we cannot include the Baha'i as a source of the global ethics “strictu sensu” because goes against the essence of the project “Ethics, business, and religion.”

However, we have included in our study, because it affects about 5 million people, and apart from this unifying vision, and Baha'i people shared ethical principles with other religions analyzed, and furthermore, seeks the Wellness of Humanity.

Approximately the total number of Baha'is is 5 million people all over the world. No country in the World has a Baha'is majority. The Baha'is Faith currently, is the largest religious minority in Iran, Panama, and V. Most of the Baha'is lives in Asia (3.6 million), Africa (1.8 million) and Latin America (900,000).

The largest Baha'i community in the World is in India, with 2.2 million Baha'is, followed by Iran (350,000), the United States (150,000), and Brazil (60,000). However, we must bear in mind that this faith is growing around the world considerably.
