The Tunisia-Turkey Free Trade Agreement (FTA) entered into force in 2005.

1. Liberalization is imminent for the Republic of Turkey; the Republic of Tunisia have a transition period of nine years
2. Foreign Trade liberalization is significant for industrial products
3. Much of agricultural export products continue to be partially protected
4. The Republic of Turkey has liberalized 84% of tariff lines
5. 3,194 tariff lines for which Tariffs are not eliminated mainly affect agricultural products
6. At the end of the conclusion of the Tunisia-Turkey Free Trade Agreement, the Tunisian Republic will liberalize 76% of tariff lines (96% of imports from the Republic of Turkey)
7. A series of bilateral safeguards are provided in the case of disturbances in agricultural markets
