Abdulsamad Rabiu (Nigerian Banker and Businessman, Hausa) was born in the Kano State (North of Nigeria) in 1960.

  1. Abdulsamad Rabiu is the Director of the BUA Business Conglomerate and Chairperson of the Bank of Industry (one of the oldest Nigerian banks)
  2. The BUA Group is a Nigerian Conglomerate working in several sectors: petrol and gas, cement (Cement Company of Northern Nigeria), sugar (the second-largest sugar refinery in Africa), Shipping, property (real estate)
  3. In 1988 Abdulsamad Rabiu creates the BUA Group as an Import/Export company
  4. The BUA Group has a refinery in the Port of Lagos
  5. Abdulsamad Rabiu is one of the richest businesspeople in Nigeria, with an estimated net worth of 1.2 billion dollars (Forbes)
  6. Rabiu inherited the family group from his father, Isyaku Rabiu, a prominent Nigerian Businessman arrested by the Nigerian Government
