Trade Relations China-Andean Community

The Andean Community and China signed on 2010 an “Agreement for the establishment of a political consultation and cooperation mechanism” to intensify their cooperation and international trade.

The objectives of the “Political Consultation and Cooperation Mechanism” are to:

  1. Promote the consultations regarding the regional and international situations
  2. Enhance the dialogue and cooperation
  3. Promote the cooperation in international trade and business and technological exchanges
  4. Facilitate the access to their respective markets
  5. Contribute to positioning the Andean Community within the Pacific area
  6. Promote the intercultural exchanges

Foreign Trade China-Andean Community.

  1. International Trade between the Andean Community (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru) and China: 14,284 million dollars
  2. In the last decade, annual trade balance was negative to the Andean Community
  3. Andean Community Exports to China: 5,194 million dollars
  4. In the last decade, the Andean exports grew at an average annual cumulative rate of 29%
  5. Main exporter to China is Peru. Exports from Peru to China: 4,000 million dollars (78% of the Andean Community exports to China.)
  6. Colombia and Peru are the countries of the Andean Community with the biggest level of the imports from China
