Warehouse Receipt (FIATA FWR):

When a freight forwarder, belonging to the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), offers storage services (for the exporters or importers), the document that must be issued is the Warehouse Receipt (FIATA FWR).

  1. The Warehouse Receipt (FIATA FWR) is also a receipt that shows the correct delivery of the products
  2. The Warehouse Receipt is not a guarantee of storage
  3. This document specifies the data of the loader and the goods to be stored
  4. The Warehouse Receipt (FIATA FWR) incorporates detailed provisions on the rights of holders by endorsement of the document and transfer of the ownership
  5. The Warehouse Receipt (FWR) is by definition a non-negotiable document (documentary credit), unless it is expressly specified as negotiable (to order of)
